Обмен долгов на наличные средства. Эта операция обычно осуществляется на вторичном рынке, где внешний долг отдельно взятой страны может быть продан со скидкой в обмен на наличные средства. Использовалась до сих пор в основном в Чили. Примечательно, что чилийское название этого процесса звучит как adquisición de títulos de la deuda externa. В Эквадоре для обозначения процесса конвертации внешнего долга в местную валюту Эквадора сукре используется термин sucretización (сукретизация).
